Questions & Answers

Everything you need to know

What should I wear on the boat?

Dress in comfortable layers — it can be cool on the water even on a warm August day. Closed-toe shoes are a must. You'll be provided with a survival suit for the journey, which goes on over your clothes, so leave the heels for the evening.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Please plan to be seated 15–20 minutes before the ceremony begins at 3:30pm — so aim to arrive by 3:10–3:15pm.

Can I bring my children?

We kindly ask that this be an adults-only celebration. We hope you'll enjoy a few days to yourselves on the coast.

What does "black wedding attire" mean?

Think elegant and refined. Dark formal wear — long dresses, suits, or cocktail attire in black or very dark tones. No need for a tuxedo, but dress to celebrate.

What's the weather like in Egmont in August?

Expect warm, sunny days (typically 22–28°C) with cooler evenings on the water. Bring sunglasses for the daytime and a light jacket or wrap for the evening — it can get breezy on the deck.

Do you have a registry?

No — your presence is the greatest gift. We're just grateful to share this with you.

Who is the artist behind your invitations?

Kaylee GelzWe wanted you to have a permanent memory of our time together, and when we saw Kaylee's work, it immediately reminded us of the early days of our relationship, spent on the coast. It was the beginning of our love story and why we chose the backdrop of the ocean for our special day.

Are meals included?

Yes — breakfast and dinner are included with your room rate at the lodge. Lunch is on your own, but the kitchen can arrange packed lunches for excursions.
